Shelbie X Rory Summer 2024
In April of 2022 I drove to Resolute Ranch in Bowie, TX to meet Jay Schwisow and see his boy Rory work. WOW! Athletic, looks, motivation, temperament, steadiness, titles and proven in the field. Rory has it all! We briefly discussed the potential of a future breeding with Shelbie and agreed to discuss it after Hielen Goldens finalized their move from Utah back to Texas. We are extremely happy to finally make that discussion a reality. Both sire and dam’s pedigree demonstrate a history of accomplished, healthy field goldens with outstanding temperaments. Pairing Shelbie with Rory will add size and enhance her strengths and strong desire to please. Description:
Shelbie boasts an impressive pedigree. Both sire and dam are outstanding field dogs and she has European field Goldens from Denmark on her father’s side adding genetic diversity to her pedigree. Her sire, Skyriver’s Roadtrip (Trip) earned his Master Hunt Title in September of 2021. Her dam, Let’s Go Get The Birds Bizzy (Bizzy) has her Junior Hunter Title and is a second generation member from the FC AFC FTCH AFTCH Can OTCH TNT’s Explosion Am UD FDHF OS; Can FDHF OBHF line! She went 4 for 4 and gained her JH title in the Spring of 2021. Shelbie has a smaller athletic build and currently weighs 52 lbs. She demonstrates excellent marking abilities, has outstanding prey drive, loves the water and lives to retrieve. Shelbie has a sweet disposition, excellent temperament, loves to please, loves people and other animals and is a great family dog. Shelbie is very smart, has a sweet smile and is fit and healthy.
HRCH Resolute Red King of Texas (Rory)
Description:
Rory is the embodiment of what you hope for in a field golden retriever. He exhibits the build, color and beauty that always turns heads and brings comments. He is a very dark golden and some would say “red dog”. His field coat is smooth and flat virtually repelling burrs of all shapes and sizes making cleanup after any field work a breeze. He stands 24” at the withers providing excellent visibility in all afield situations, broad in the head and a very athletic body. Some of his best traits are not visible. He is very tractable – he is easy to train and gets new concepts easily. He breezed through finished training and gained his Hunting Retriever Championship title at age 2 passing every test entered. He is 100% amateur trained and handled. He is fast when sent yet very steady at the line and in the blind. He has no problem sitting quietly for hours, honoring other working dogs patiently and quietly waiting for his turn to retrieve. When it is his time, it is over quick and he is back patiently waiting for that next opportunity.

- For AKC registration “Hielan” kennel name must be included as a prefix to the dog’s name
- Full registration not guaranteed but may be available (at seller’s sole discretion) for an additional $500 after 2 year normal OFA’s and genetic panels completed
- Pups to have a 26 month health warranty for fair of better hips, elbows and birth defects. (See Puppy Application)
- Preference given to active / working homes.
